Cheshire & Wirral Partnership Children’s Services
Placements will continue to be organised by the university Placement Coordinator.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership provides social care, mental health, substance misuse, learning disability and community physical health services. These services are provided in partnership with commissioners, local authorities, voluntary and independent organisations, people who use our services and their carers.
There are placement opportunities in Merseyside teams with expertise in the following areas:
Children with Disabilities
Severe and profound learning disabilities including complex Autistic Spectrum Condition, complex physical disabilities, substantial visual impairment, moderate/severe hearing loss, complex medical health conditions. Case responsibility for Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children and court work including Adoption.
Integrated Disabilities Service
Multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up to people with severe and complex mental health conditions, including transitional pathways for young people within a community setting.

Multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up to people with severe and complex mental health conditions, talking therapies. Patients with high level of needs are allocated a Care Co-ordinator.
Integrated Disabilities Service
Multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up to people with severe and complex mental health conditions, including transitional pathways for young people within a community setting.
