Wirral Health and Care NHS Trust provides integrated health and social care support to the Wirral community. Students are able to demonstrate core social work values and principles in working with vulnerable people with complex needs and their Carers. There are placement opportunities in teams with expertise in the following areas;
- Integrated practice with Nurses and Therapies working with adults over the age of 18
- Assessment, support planning and full care management
- Care co-ordination for complex cases
- Legislation including; Care Act 2014, Equality Act 2010, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human rights Act 1998, Mental Health Act 1983
- Safeguarding enquires and making safeguarding personal
- Undertaking statutory duties and co-ordinating strategy meetings.
