With nurturing, support and guidance, students will work with children and families within varying levels of need and risk.

Students will be supported to understand the lived and living experiences of our children in families and look at how we work in partnership with families to improve outcomes for children and families.

We also try to support students to spend time in areas of service away from their placement area to support a wider understanding of children’s social care and to maximise learning and development opportunities.

Students will have opportunities to understand the wider context of practice by looking at the social, cultural, economic context of St Helen’s.
